PUNCH TYPES

JAB
(Main Hand) A straight punch with the arm fully extended.
CROSS
(Rear Hand) A powerful punch using the rear hand, increased force by pivoting the shoulders and turning of the torso to reach the opponent.
LEFT HOOK
(Left Hand) punch in which the elbow remains bent so the swing is curved inwards. The user strikes from the side rather than straight forward.
RIGHT HOOK
(Right Hand) punch in which the elbow remains bent so the swing is curved inwards. The user strikes from the side rather than straight forward.
LEFT UPPERCUT
(Left Hand) Shoulders and knees drop and the arm swings from guard upwards, usually towards the opponent's torso. The body and shoulders lift back up to add power to the strike.
RIGHT UPPERCUT
(Right Hand) Shoulders and knees drop and the arm swings from guard upwards, usually towards the opponent's torso. The body and shoulders lift back up to add power to the strike.
SHOVEL HOOK
(Main Hand) Similar to an uppercut, but instead of straight up, it should be at almost a 45 degree angle. Imagine striking the opponent from the ribs towards the head.
Overhand Right
(Rear Hand) A strike to the opponent's head by using an over head arc motion.

MOVEMENT TYPES

SLIP LEFT
Moving the head to the left to avoid a strike from the opponent. Shoulders and torso drop towards the left.
SLIP RIGHT
Moving the head to the right to avoid a strike from the opponent. Shoulders and torso drop towards the right.
DUCK LEFT
Ducking to avoid a strike from the opponent, knees bend to bring the torso and head down, shift towards the left.
DUCK RIGHT
Ducking to avoid a strike from the opponent, knees bend to bring the torso and head down, shift towards the right.
BLOCK
Bring the gloves up to your face and touch it with the back of your hand and arms facing towards the opponent's attack.
STEP FORWARD
Move main foot forward with the back following after.
STEP BACK
Move main foot back with the front following after.
PARRY PUNCH
Slap the opponent's punch downwards / left / right to deflect the force of their punch.
ROLL LEFT
Roll your shoulders left
ROLL RIGHT
Roll your shoulder right.
